Magisterial district court case information includes civil cases criminal cases, traffic, cases, non-traffic cases, and landlord/tenant cases. If you want specific criminal court case information, you will need to go to the Pennsylvania State police.

Records are available online for Philadelphia County, and the county has an open records policy. The City and County adopted a policy to comply with the Commonwealth Act 3 of 2008 P5 .S. ##6.101 et seq. This is the Right to Know Law. There are exceptions, but most members of the public have the right to inspect and copy public records upon written request.

A deed is an official document that states the rightful owner of a property. The deed is recorded and stored with the county. Most deeds are three to four pages and clearly state the property address, grantor, grantee, the date of the deed and other identifying information about the property.

If you have a claim to a property, buying a house or selling a property, you are able to record the deed at the Department of Records.

Recording a deed needs to be paid with cash, money order, or certified check. The fee is $256.75.
